SWSC carries out advocacy through constant engagements with line ministries and other critical stakeholders for drafting policies that advance women and girls’ rights.

Through our work, SWSC facilitates consultative meetings between line ministries and community members in order to push for the development of policies that protect women and girls from GBV.

Through our advocacy interventions, we built the advocacy capacity of civil society including women’s groups and empowered them to champion for women and girls’ rights and empowerment.

Furthermore, SWSC believes the power of media and utilizes it to raise awareness on harmful effects of FGM & GBV on women and girls and advocate the abandonment of harmful practices. SWSC facilitates radio talks and transmission of anti- FGM & GBV messages to the public.
