Overview
The EWER Project enhances conflict prevention and response processes by strengthening inclusive Early Warning and Early Response (EWER) systems. The initiative focuses on generating and using data on emerging conflict dynamics and GBV risks to implement coordinated responses that foster safer civic spaces for women’s participation in peacebuilding processes.

Key Achievements

  1. Improved the capacity of community-based monitors to collect and report data on conflict dynamics.
  2. Established functional early response committees to address and mitigate local conflicts.
  3. Strengthened the collaboration between civil society actors and local authorities for coordinated response plans.
  4. Organized community dialogues that fostered inclusive decision-making and conflict resolution.
  5. Developed simplified guidance materials on early warning and response for grassroots actors.
  6. Enhanced community trust in law enforcement through the establishment of gender desks and advisory platforms.
  7. Conducted multi-platform public awareness campaigns to inform communities about early warning systems.
  8. Trained youth and women peace advocates to promote community cohesion and dialogue.
  9. Strengthened partnerships with local peace actors and networks to support coordinated advocacy.

Published policy briefs to inform decision-makers on community needs and recommended actions.
